IT Architecture

There are four options available for ExpressSuite solutions:

ExpressPO on Win2003 server within corporate network (remote access via VPN)
ExpressPO on Win2003 server in DMZ with Port 80/443 open (no VPN required, access from any network)
ExpressPO on Win2003 server via MDS for BlackBerry (uses MDS via BES to connect BlackBery smartphone and the LAN for local users)
ExpressPO on Win2003 server in DMZ with Post 80/443 open and BlackBerry connectivity (no VPN required, access from any computer / device)

1. What do I need to configure in SAP to get ExpressSuite working?

ExpressSuite is 'Transport Free' software. You should not need to configure anything.
It uses standard SAP functionality and will work instantly with:

your purchase order release strategies (ExpressPO)
your purchase requisition release strategies (ExpressPR)
your company's blocked invoices (ExpressRelease)
your company's entry sheets and release strategies (ExpressServiceEntry)
your SRM system (ExpressSC).

2. What do I need to install on my mobile phone to use ExpressSuite?

Nothing, ExpressSuite solutions are 100% web based. Just browse to your installed site from your phone to view the mobile version.

3. What mobile phones do you support?

We have tested ExpressSuite solutions on the iPhone, Blackberry and Windows Mobile smart phones. If your company uses a different device please contact us and we will look at supporting your model.

4. What version of SAP do ExpressSuite solutions support?

ExpressSuite solutions are compatible with all SAP versions from 4.0B onwards.

5. How do ExpressSuite solutions communicate with SAP?

ExpressSuite solutions use the SAP .Net Connector to communicate with SAP. The SAP .Net Connector was released by SAP to allow external programs to talk safely and securely to SAP R/3. You can read more about the SAP .Net Connector at SAP.

6. Do ExpressSuite solutions use SAP Workflow?

ExpressSuite solutions do not use SAP Workflow. They interrogate standard SAP R/3 functionality.

7. Do ExpressSuite solutions support single sign on to SAP?

Yes we support the SAP Logon Ticket or X.509 certificate.

8. Do I need training to install and configure ExpressSuite?

Installation and configuration is a straightforward process and we provide all the relevant documentation. However, if you do have any questions please contact us and we will be happy to assist.
